Stamford High School PTO/FOSH events for 2017-18

Save the DATES!!

Friday, September 15th   5 – 6 PM

Join us for our First Annual FOSH Food Truck Social!!

Trucks will start serving at 3:30 during our U-Knight in Color Run/Walk.  Come early and take part in the event. Meet FOSH leadership, fellow parents and alumni. Learn MORE about After Prom, Fashion Show and Dare to Dream. Stay and watch our FIRST home football game.  The game starts at 6pm in Boyle Stadium.

Wednesday, November 1st
7-9pm SHS Career Center

Join us for an informative night on The National Honor Society. WHAT is NHS? WHO is eligible? WHAT  is required for admission?  We will also have instruction and guidance for parents who need help with Naviance (the guidance system  used to find and apply for colleges) and Powerschool (the system that allows you to see grades and assignments).

FRIENDS OF STAMFORD HIGH/PTO - WELCOME

WHO are we?  All parents, administrators, teachers, support staff, students and alumni are considered to be Friends of Stamford High. 

WHAT do we do?

1. We provide funding for classroom materials and experiences NOT included in the budget such as cameras for Year Book and Round Table and special calculators for the math department. (also known as “Dare to Dream”)

2. We provide college scholarships for graduating seniors.

3. We provide a drug and alcohol free after prom party for seniors and their guests.

4. We host five meetings a year which provide the following vital information to the community;

Updates from the administration on school wide events and projects and an opportunity to speak with    the administration.

Updates from the Board of Education which could include; information on any new district wide initiatives, information on board of education candidates, information on the school budget and MORE.

Informative sessions with guest speakers.

5. We provide a Back to School Lunch for the staff in August a Teacher Appreciation Breakfast in May and refreshments for the academic award ceremonies for juniors and seniors.

6. We hold two main fundraisers each year so that we can provide these valuable services to the community.
